Year 5/6 Music

Years 5 and 6 are currently learning songs for the "Rayleigh Lights" which are being held on Thursday 29th November 2018, from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. It is the year 5's turn to sing in public.

We will meet at the Mill Hall Arts Centre and walk together down to the stage outside Boots on the High Street. Please note that the High Street will be closed to traffic from early on that afternoon. The Council have allocated us a performance time of 4:35pm (10 minute slot). You will receive a letter with these details, and accompanying reply slip, shortly after half term.

The lyrics for the three songs need to be learnt by heart (word documents below) so that during the remaining weeks after the October half term we can polish our performance. All the children have made a splendid start. Thank you for your support.

Below are links to the songs to enable your child to sing them regularly at home:
O Little Town of Bethlehem - we will be singing the first three verses and last verse found in this arrangement (please ignore verse 4 here- which begins "Where children pure and happy" which is not part of the original carol)
