Key Workers

Following advice from the government school will only be open, for the foreseeable future,  to  vulnerable children and the children whose  parents are key workers.  Please see our school website and FB pages for the guidance to establish if we are able to offer your child a school place on Monday and beyond.  All children are expected to be engaged in the social distancing principles and not attend school unless they have received individual permission from the school.

To gain this permission you will need to contact the school via telephone as our Broadband switchover takes place today. We will not be able to respond to texts and emails.  You may also gain permission from me on the playground.

As the majority of our children are expected to be at home we will not need you to contact the school office to report their absence.

Teachers will continue to update the website and Classroom Pages with work that children are expected to complete.  We do not have the capacity to respond to texts and emails in the coming weeks regarding the work that has been set.  All children should have received their google login and their TTRS login.  We will not be able to resend these via text or email.

All school staff appreciate that this is a challenging time for parents and we are doing everything we can to support your children’s continued education.

The staff at Down Hall have been amazing!  It is easy to forget that they also have family members that they are concerned about yet they continue to do their job with pride, passion and commitment.

We will keep you updated as best we can. Please take care and look after each other.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Mrs Nelson
